The law Offices of Joseph Lichtenstein, P.C. specializes in the litigation and trials of complex medical malpractice and general personal injury cases including all types of cerebral palsy, Erb's palsy and other birth related injuries. Its Nassau County Office is conveniently located across from the Nassau County Courthouses. The firm also has offices in Brooklyn and in the Bronx.

Our lead attorney - Joseph Lichtenstein graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Arizona State University College of Law in 1986 with numerous awards and honors, including being twice named winner of the law school's jury summation competition and being named "Best Trial Advocate" in his graduating class. Mr. Lichtenstein was also a writer and an editor of the Arizona State Law Review. Mr. Lichtenstein began his career with Olwine, Connelly, Chase, O'Donnell & Weyher, a prominent Park Avenue commercial practice which firm had such notable partners as Judith Kaye prior to her appointment as Chief Justice of the Court of Appeals, New York State's highest Court.

Since then Mr. Lichtenstein joined a well-known personal injury law firm in Manhattan, where he was the Senior Trial Lawyer in medical malpractice, product liability, and general negligence for many years. Mr. Lichtenstein also handled all that firm's commercial matters.

In 1997 Mr. Lichtenstein began his own firm. It is a boutique practice with approximately 10 employees (attorneys and staff), and specializes in medical malpractice litigation. In the first year alone, the firm received approximately 300 referrals from other members of the bar who do not specialize in medical malpractice.

Mr. Lichtenstein has been a commentator on Court TV, and has been frequently featured as an expert in medical malpractice on the Tom Martino " The Trouble Shooter " consumer advocacy show.

Mr. Lichtenstein has had numerous million-dollar verdicts and settlements over the course of his career, often achieved in extraordinarily difficult cases. In fact, in just the last year he obtained a number of substantial settlements and verdicts in cases other attorneys had turned down. See Case Highlights for a sample of these verdicts.

Mr. Lichtenstein's firm has a very high success rate on cases he prosecutes. The firm prides itself on its professional, ethical and painstaking approach toward complex litigation.

Our firm accepts direct cases from the general public, and also serves the legal community both as a recipient of case referrals from other firms and attorneys, and as trial counsel for other firms and attorneys.
